Hello, I'm Kimberly Varner! Thanks for visiting my site. I started KVID in 2009 after working with a local design firm for 15 years. If you're interested in some of my design background, I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga with a bachelors degree in Interior Design. I am a certified Interior Designer with the National Council for Interior Designers (NCIDQ) and registered designer with the state of Tennessee. I am also recognized as a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

Working with Kim has been a life saver for me. I tend to get overwhelmed with projects and shut down, but not with Kim. She helps by breaking it down to focus areas and we build from there. She helps me to organize a plan and takes the time to understand my style and my budget. I love the way Kim finds a way to incorporate my old furniture pieces with my new furniture, but my favorite thing is her eye for placement! She makes everything look new again!
We have worked together on several projects and she is always the first person I call when planning anything, no job is too big or too small from new end tables to a kitchen remodel. She is amazing!!
My husband and I downsized from about 4000 square feet to 2600. We sold or donated almost all our furniture, keeping just a few special pieces, and started from square one. Kim came and measured our new home, and I sent pictures of what I was keeping. She sent me a detailed floor plan, with her suggestion on how to arrange furniture. She used many of my special pieces, like my mother’s desk in the perfect location, which I appreciated very much. Her designed worked perfectly in our new home, and saved me from buying furniture that would not have worked. She kept me on track with a specific design aesthetic. If I ever have a question, about design or furniture placement, all I have to do is ask her. We love our new home and highly recommend Kim.
Now, we are working on getting the perfect color for the outside. She does it all!
Davis and I spent years planning and dreaming about building our forever home on our farm. When the time came to hand our plans over to our builder we called Kimberly to “walk through” our plan. Not only did she offer us invaluable advice about our house plan, she guided us every step of the way during the build. Our home is beautiful and a direct reflection of Davis and me- but we needed Kimberly’s help to achieve this goal!

It is always a pleasure to work with Kimberly! She first helped me when I was remodeling my 1924 home, helping me pick paint colors as well as room layouts and all new furniture. I knew the tone that I wanted, and Kimberly was able to take my thoughts and turn them into a comfortable home with just the right “feel.”

Kim will also pull your entire project together from beginning to end if that’s what you’re looking for. She’s very versatile and not pushy. I enjoy designing as well, and she was wonderful to validate my ideas or help guide me in finding just the right material, tile, paint, etc. Her price is very reasonable and I believe she’s one of the best in the area.
